Do you feel that you aren't where you would like to be?

Do you feel that you aren't where you would like to be?

The internet is packed with “How to goals guides”, and yet I didn’t want to make another one. The reason is simple; unless your goal is meaningful, you hardly will achieve it.
Meaningful goals create a meaningful life
Just a little story here. Back in 2012, I set goals for the next five years. I thought I needed some direction. One of the goals was to increase my yearly income every year, and it was quite aggressive. Back then, I was still employed as Chef, so was natural to set a goal to get a promotion after promotion.
Not only this goal was unrealistic, but it was meaningless to me. I wasn’t happy to work for someone else, I had enough to serve guests, I had enough to work longgggggg hours. I wanted to make more money to improve my financial future, but what I really wanted the most was FREEDOM.
I didn’t examine my motivations closely, It was just another numerical goal. I don’t need to say that I never achieved that goal.
So, it’s important to set meaningful goals because only goals with a strong meaning keep you going when things get tough. There may be time, for example, you don’t feel like waking up early to work on your goals. That happen to everyone. But if you have a reason, something you really want to accomplish because it means a lot to you, you’ll run out of bed with excitement.
I believe in setting goals in life to achieve greatness, and if you do that, you’re going to live a rich life. I also believe you should set simple goals. In fact, I advocate one goal at the time instead than multiple which are required a complicated system to keep track.
Focus your energy on a small number of goals, making you more effective.
In today post I’m going to show you step by step how to set meaningful goals so you can achieve greatness in personal life and business.
Here’s what I recommend:

1# SET ONE GOAL PER TIME

We get stuck in life because we want to achieve one zillion things. Unfortunately, we hardly achieve any if don’t unclutter our life.
According to Health.com, multitasking isn’t efficient as we like to believe, and can even be harmful to our health. You cannot maintain energy and focus if you are trying to do two or more goals at once.
Most people would say that having just one goal is impossible for them. I have two solutions:
  1. You can still to other goals, but put them off for one or more months for now. Focus on one goal for at least one month, turn it into a habit, then move to your next goal.
  2. Do more than a goal but keep them very simple. You don’t want to spread yourself too fine. Risking to fail any goal can be demoralizing leading to a lack of self-esteem. You want to set goals to improve your life, not to sabotage it.

2# VISUALIZE YOUR GOAL

The better you can visualize your goal, the easier will be.
Arnold Schwarzenegger stresses the importance to visualize goals in life. Arnold’s clarity is incredible. His goals were precise and concise. At the age of 15, Arnold visualized his goals:
I want to be the best built man in the world. Then I want to go to America and be in movies. I want to be an actor. – Arnold Schwarzenegger
If you don’t know much about Arnold’s life, at the age of 15 he was living in Austria and couldn’t speak any English. Imagine his friends listening to his goals. They might have thought he was crazy. Be sure it’s something you’re passionate about, or you’ll lose motivation.
Instead, Arnold shows the world the power of visualizing crystal clear goals in life. You can achieve anything, even what seems impossible.
You can do it!

3# THINK ABOUT THE STEPS TO ACHIEVE YOUR GOAL

Here you need to put on your plan cup.
Can the goal be achieved with a series of actions? Like 1-4 daily or weekly tasks. For example, to be a successful blogger, you’ll need to write a post every day.  Throughout regular actions,  eventually, the goal will be accomplished.
If your goal will take more than one month to be accomplished, break it down in smaller subgoals.

4# THINK ABOUT DETAILS

Writing an article every day isn’t going to make you a successful blogger. But writing 800-3000 words article everyday, and also post at least 2 times per month on someone else blog while writing quality articles, should make you a star.
Write down each action you need to accomplish to achieve the goal. Be specific.

5# SET A DEADLINE

Without explicitly set an expectation to achieve the desired goal, most likely you will get lost along the way. So, “When your goal will be accomplished?”. An example; I want to be a successful blogger in one year time from today.

6# STAY FOCUS

Focus on the action for a whole month to create a habit. One habit per time. The first month, write every day an article without bothering about other details. On the second month, write every day an article between 800-3000 words long. And so on… You get me?

7# GO IN AUTOPILOT

Here the sweet part; once all the habits are ingrained, your goal is on autopilot. That means no more struggle or sweating to write a blog post.
Instead, you will feel writing to be natural like having breakfast each morning.

WHEN TO SET GOALS?

There is no perfect answer here. If you haven’t written a list of goals yet, the BEST time is now. Once you get started, make sense to create yearly goals while breaking them down into monthly goals.
Monthly goals help to accomplish your long-term goals, and at the same time to review your progress. I think, progress it’s important as much as setting goals.
Every end of the month, I review my personal and financial goals. And of course, on the end of the year, I take a full day to go throughout the big goals.
 Personal-and-financial-goals-dont-loose-sight
Keep focused on your goals, and put all your energy into achieving them. Don’t let obstacles to unfocus you from your journey. Keep in sight the horizon, you’ll get there.

Do you feel your life isn't going anywhere?

Do you feel your life isn't going anywhere?

I thrive in life till the age of 26, either in career and personal development. I felt great, made my parents proud and seems my life was heading in the right direction.  Or at least, till the day my life fall apart.
I still remember the day I reached my life goal to become a Head Chef for a 5-star hotel. I felt accomplished, I told myself “You did it”.
The problem was that I didn’t have another goal, I was contented with this achievement. Back then I didn’t know that not setting goals in life can be a very dangerous thing to do for one own mind.
I feel bad to admit this, but walking the path of life without goals and purpose, it is been the worst experience of my life.
While this may seem like quite a harsh statement, it almost screwed my future. And because I was comfortable with my achievements and lifestyle, I lost the motivation and purpose to live each day.
The trouble with not having a goal is that you can spend your life running up and down the field and never score.” – Bill Copeland
From that negative experience, I’ve learned that I should NEVER walk life without goals, and you shouldn’t either. I’ve trimmed down the 5 most compelling reasons why you should set goals in life, but first, few warning signs that you need immediately to set goals are:
  • You oversleep most days.
  • You drink too much.
  • Every weekend you go chilling out because life is stressful.
  • Going out without any reason.
  • Indulge in food.
  • Drink too much coffee.
  • Feel bored most days.
  • Play video games as if would be your second job.
  • Spend money on useless things or activities.
  • Not feeling satisfied, therefore trying to make more money to buy more useless things.
There are more, but those are alarming warning signs. I speak from experience because I went through these during my depressing years. Thankfully, by setting new goals in life, I realized those were futile and unhealthy habits.

THE PERSONAL GOAL WAY

Do you set goals for yourself? What are your goals for the next 12 months? How about 3 years from now? 5 years? 10 years?
When you set clear goals, you’ll readily see your life lit with direction and meaning. As opposed to living day by day just for the sake of living, doing a job that you don’t love, spending time with people you don’t like.
Isn’t that magic?
How did I turn around my life?
I was blessed with a beautiful baby girl, which spark in me the desire to set meaningful goals to ensure a bright future for her and my new family.
Yes, it was a cause and effect sort of thing. You might think that your parents, friends or close one would help you in your life to greatness, right? Think again.
Unless you’re surrounded by successful people that TRULY care for you, that isn’t going to happen.
I hope, this article is going to trigger in you the same strong desire to set goals in your life to achieve greatness, live a rich life and ultimately create a strong purpose.
Below are 5 reasons why you may need to set goals in life:

1# MONEY & FINANCIAL PROSPERITY

What would you expect from a personal financial blogger as first reason to have goals in life? Your financial future depends on your life goals.
Setting long-term goals help you to move in the right direction in life. In turn rippling out to your short-term goals, then action plans, then daily actions.
Goals clear your path to success in life while achieving your full potential. Without goals, you’re like a boat with a broken engine in the middle of the sea. Stuck, hoping someone will rescue you.
Instead of hoping for rescue, fix the engine and drive your boat to the port.
A great example is Arnold Schwarzenegger, a gold-mine of inspiration. Arnie knows how to flex his goal setting muscle.

He stresses the importance to visualize goals in life. Arnold’s clarity is incredible. His goals were precise and concise. At the age of 15, Arnold visualized his goals:
I want to be the best built man in the world. Then I want to go to America and be in movies. I want to be an actor. – Arnold Schwarzenegger
How do you think Arnold is doing financially? Pretty good I suppose. He even bought a Tank (yes, a real one) for the fun of destroying things in his garden.
And here the result of having crystal clear goals in life:
In two or three years, I had actually been able to change my body entirely. That told me something. If I had been able to change my body that much, I could also, through the same discipline and determination, change anything else I wanted. I could change my habits, my whole outlook on life. -Arnold Schwarzenegger
Isn’t that powerful?
You bet it is.

2# LIVING A FULFILLING LIFE

Many people sleepwalk through life. Even though they work hard, have a good career or make good money, they don’t see themselves getting what they want.
They feel like having missed the train in their life. So, they wait, wait and wait for the next train to pass by, but it never does.
The common question ones ask is: “Is life worth living?
That’s because they don’t have clear goals and a direction where they want to go.
If one does not know to which port one is sailing, no wind is favorable. – Lucius Annaeus Senaca
Students graduate and aren’t sure what to do with their life. Adults in their 30s, 40s, 50s are shocked how fast life is passing by and don’t know what to do next.
By sitting down and setting some goals, you break out from a life in autopilot and start living a conscious life. A life driven by your decisions rather than living a life without control or even worst, decided by others.
Life is packed with colorful experiences worth living. Live the life you want.
You might wonder: “It sound wonderful but how?”
The most effective way that has helped me to live a conscious and fulfilling life is at least once a year, set or review my life’s goals.
Few questions to help you set your goals:
  1. What do you want to do in life?
  2. What is important to you?
  3. What do you want your life to be like?
  4. And how will you get there?
Write it down, and keep it somewhere you will see it often, and take action.

3# ACHIEVE SUCCESS

Success is the end result of clear goals. Goals give you laser focus as what to spend your time and focus on.
Just think about your next business. Let’s say you want to open the best vegan restaurant in town. Even though you have not idea how to make it happen, the very act of setting a goal is taking you one step closer to the end result.
By setting goals, your time and energy can be funneled into the right areas to achieve success.

4# HAPPINESS

Scientific research shows that setting and working towards goals can contribute to happiness in various ways, including:
  • Give us a sense of purpose and meaning
  • It’s a source of engagement and pleasure
  • When we achieve our goals, we feel accomplished building our confidence and meaning.
Actively working forward our goals bring as much joy as achieving the end result.
Do you want to be happy in life? Set your goals and achieve them.

5# BIG DREAMS COME REAL

You have a big dream in your mind, and I’m here to help you along the way. It’s easy to feel discouraged when you’re starting moving forward, but with a firm goal in mind, the impossible will become possible.
Proper goal setting help to break down big tasks in smaller and easier actions having a positive psychologic impact in your life. It’s important to stay motivated during your path to greatness.
Count on me on this journey, I want to see you succeed.
Success by setting goals
There are many more reasons, of course, and each person will find her own reasons. These are just a few of mine.
However, I can conclude that having goals is important in life to push you to be the best that you can be. Other benefits of setting goals include the greater likelihood of attaining prosperity, which may come in the form of money or personal satisfaction. See, you have nothing to lose, only to gain.

12 WAYS TO THINK RICH SO YOU CAN BECOME ONE OF THEM

12 WAYS TO THINK RICH SO YOU CAN BECOME ONE OF THEM

f you aren’t rich or where you want to be in life is because the way you think. Rich people think similarly, that’s the reason they are successful and hang out together. Do you think rich?
I know that is sound pretty straightforward, but often people are stacked in their routines unable to change their poor habits holding them back in life. According to RichHabits.com, 40% of all of our daily activities are habits. This means that 40% of the time we are all on auto pilot.
That’s why poor people are poor and rich people are rich because of the way they habitually think.
So what is my experience? Where am I coming from? Was I always successful? I wish!
Like many of you, I supposedly had a lot of potential but had little to show for it.
I worked by butt off but kept coming up short. How come others were succeeding around me? What happened to “Mr. Potential?”
I didn’t know what the problem was, so I couldn’t make a positive change. But once I understood that by simply change my poor way of thinking, my life completed changed for the better.
Do you want to live a rich life? Do you feel like your life isn’t going the way you want?
No matter where you’re in life, I believe that everyone is in charge of their own destiny and that everyone can learn how to think and live rich.
So in today post, I’m going to talk about my best and most actionable tips so that you can change your life for the better.
But first, you might wonder how I got hold of the “rich thinking.”
Well, fortunately, I was a Fine Dining Chef for a restaurant with a rich clientele.  I become a good friend with one particular customer who is incredibly rich, most probably the richest of all.
Believe me, when I first started to go out with him I didn’t know he was so rich because he was wearing casual jeans, sports shoes and driving a Toyota Fortuner.  He looked like the typical middle-class guy, also, he wasn’t a snob (Yeah, the myth of rich people being snob ).
He loved good food and wines, and I was more than happy to make great dishes for him while drinking with him the best labels we had in the cellar. On his hand, he was sharing is thinking and business success experiences while I was sucking up every word like a sponge.
I began to transform my way of thinking, and so change my habits and actions. That’s when my life change for the better.
Now, it’s your turn.
Here my tips that change my way of thinking so my life:

1# MONEY IS NOT IMPORTANT AS TIME

If you’re trading your time for money, you will never be rich. In other words, start your own business and fire your boss.
Time is the most important asset you have because is limited to 24 hours per day for about 80 years of life expectancy. Once your time is over, your life is over.
On the other hand, money is plentiful. In today world the government is printing more of that stuff. Believe me, there is no shortage of currency. There are no excuses for not having plentiful of money.

2# MULTIPLE INCOMES

Can you find me one rich man that has one source of income?
To carry on point one, having a job as the main source of income is too risky, because you aren’t in control.
Possible scenarios that you can’t control:
  • You get fired because your boss doesn’t like you.
  • The company goes bankrupt (and your pension plan goes too).
  • Take over? You are out.
  • A long time disability or nasty accident. Can’t you work? No paycheck for you.
Basically, your paycheck is linked to your ability to work. That’s very risky.
That’s why I’ve got multiple streaming of income from my online business, long-term investments and trading.  If something happens to one of my stream of income, the others can carry the weight so I can pay the bills.
The more income streams you have, the better.

3# DO WHAT YOU LOVE AND GET PAID FOR IT

If you hate your job, you will never be either rich or happy. Life is too short to be wasted doing something that you don’t love. Plus, as said earlier, it’s never a good idea exchange your time for a pay-cheque.
Follow your passion, love what you do and get paid it.

4# RICH PEOPLE KNOW THAT MARKETS ARE DRIVEN BY EMOTION

I’m sure you know that the market stock is an excellent vehicle for wealth. But there are two tremendous different ways to go about it:
  1. Poor people think the market stock is driven by logic and strategy. So they invest with the belief that stocks always go up in the long term.
  2. Instead, rich people understand that the market is driven by emotions (greed and fear), and they factor this into all trades and trends they observe.
I “trend invest” in sectors which are in an early up-trend stage while getting out when the average investors get in that coincide with the top of the market. The result is simple; I make money while the average investors scratch his head.
Take seriously to learn about markets and stocks, it pays very well.

5# LEAVE BELOW YOUR MEAN

Doesn’t matter how much you make, but how much you can save.
Savings are essential to start your own business, invest, go throughout a rough time or put your kids in college. Without savings, there isn’t going to be a bright future for you.
I manage to retire early from the corporate world because I used to save between 60% to 80% of my paycheck. I understand, I was aggressive with my savings, but a more modest saving rate will do.
The point is: Start saving!

6# LEARN LONG AFTER COLLEGE

Poor people think that learning is over after graduating. I would say that is just the beginning.
I spend 3 hours every day learning something new either to improve my business, myself or the way I invest. It’s so freaking important to improve yourself every single day. The world is changing so fast, and believe me, you don’t want to be left behind.
Look, in this internet age is never being easier to learn something. Don’t take my word for it, just “Google”; How to [ insert the thing you want to learn]
Isn’t that so easy?

7# FOCUS ON EARNING NOT SAVING

I’m not saying that saving isn’t important, but focusing on earning bring better results. The reason is simple; you can’t cut costs as much as the potential to make more money. The upside is infinite, but the downside is limited.
You still need to eat, have a shelter, and… You got the point.
For many years I focused my energy on saving hard while I was an employee. Only when I refocus myself in making more money instead of living frugally, my wealth took off.
Be aware of the frugal movement on the net which advocates “extreme frugality .” Some are extreme and unnecessary frugal ways,  like cut your latte or use the same tea bag multiple times. That isn’t thinking rich.

8# COMFORT IS A BIG “NO.”

Poor and middle-class people look to live a comfortable life. Study, get a job, buy a house and sometime in the future, you are going to retire. That’s is a steady and comfortable way of living for most people, but also the best way to live a mediocre life. If you really want to live a rich life, you need to get out of your comfort zone and sometimes take risks.
If you really want to live a rich life, you need to get out of your comfort zone and sometimes take risks.
I never met rich people that didn’t take some kind of risks in their life.

9# BETTER BE RICH THAN LOOK RICH

While working as a five stars chef, I notice that the richest customers looked and dress like the average Jhon. Driving a normal car, not wearing any flashy gadget or dresses, keeping a low profile.
I used to find out these people were extremely rich by others or see them paying with their Black American Express. If you never heard about the Black American Express Card is because only the wealthiest customers upon invitation can get one.
So, instead of waste money on useless blink blink gadget, focus on creating wealth.

10# SOLVE PROBLEMS

I notice that rich people are excellent to solve problems. They create a product to solve someone else problem, and of course, they make money along the way.
Just imagine to have a product that solves a problem, and you make US$1 for each product sold. Let’s say you’re the inventor of the potato peeler. How many people use a potato peeler? Maybe one million, 10 million, or maybe 100 million. Compliment, you’re a millionaire.
On the other hand, poor people create problems for themselves and others. No wonder they stay poor.

11# THINK INVESTING, NOT SPENDING

I admit, this is my favorite tip of all and where I’ve been a master for years. Whenever I’ve spare money, I think where I can invest them.
Never pass in my mind to buy the latest phone or similar gadget that doesn’t hold any future value.
This is a simple but powerful switch that will take you to the next level. So, please, when you get your next bonus, think where you can invest that money instead to buy the latest iPhone.

12# USE CREDIT

If you can borrow money for investments, do it. Get a mortgage to buy a duplex to rent out… Or maybe to expand your business… Or use brokerage margin accounts to leverage your investments during a bull market.
These are all good ways to use credit.
Like anything good, must be a bad side to it; bad credit.
For example using your credit card to buy things that you can’t afford. Take out a mortgage to buy a house you can’t afford. Get a car loan to buy a new car.
I know, it sounds boring, but yet the message is crystal clear: “If you can’t afford it, don’t buy it!”

DO YOU HAVE A RICH MINDSET?

Becoming rich is hard work, need determination, and discipline. But don’t let that discourage you. Once you start to change your way of thinking, the path to riches is going to be a smooth ride.
Changing the way you think is the first step you should consider taking if you want to change your life for the better.
I believe in you. Start to think rich.
What other “think rich” tips do you know of? What tips do you have to share?

BEST ETFS BUY FOR 2017 - EASY INVESTING

BEST ETFS BUY FOR 2017 - EASY INVESTING

I can’t believe one year passed already. I feel like I wrote yesterday the best ETFs buy for 2016.
Time fly… literally. And money too ðŸ™‚
How was your 2016 in term of financial prosperity and richnesses of life?
I’m sure you did great, Pal. If not, don’t worry, 2017 is going to be your year.
I honestly couldn’t be more excited to trudge forward this year with all the opportunities out there.
The reason is simple, 2017 expectation in the financial markets are very high after Trump won the election in U.S. In my humble opinion, till the second quarter of this year things will go smoothly, but after, we’ll have to see.
Before rolling out my best ETFs prediction for this year, let’s have a look how the ETFs I invested in last year did.
Should we?
1) SPDR S&P Metals and Mining ETF + 106%
Great ETFs tracking thousands of companies in metal and metal sector.  The year started on the wrong foot for commodities, but in early February, commodities prices skyrocket.
So, come at no surprise that this ETFs returned little more than 100% in one year, costing you and me only 0.35% in fund fee.
Sweet!
2) Vanguard Energy ETF + 30%
Energy sector did well but not as expected. As you noticed, filling your car it’s about 20% more expensive than one year ago when oil was trading at a multi-decade low price touching  US$ 37 per barrel at one point. Today, oil is trading at US$ 52.
I was surprised to see a so weak rebound, but considering that we are moving into a renewable energy era, this might be the norm.
3) IShares MSCI Hong Kong ETF + 16%
The fund returned double the average yearly fund return of 7.41%. That’s great.
4) Vanguard Health Care ETF – 3%
Ouch, health care didn’t perform last year. However, this sector is hot in the near future as the modern world population is aging fast. I’m also expecting a breakthrough in medical nanotechnology that will extend our life drastically, and by doing so, people will spend big money in this sector as baby boomers are the wealthiest group in the world.
5) Vanguard Total World Stock ETF + 8.5%
This ETFs did well following its yearly average. It’s a defensive investment; rarely it would let you down.
6) Global X Funds – Global X Lithium ETF (LIT) + 4%
This ETFs was a late addition to my portfolio in June 2016. So, take in consideration the gain was only for the last 6 months. I’m confident this sector will do great in the next 10 years thanks to electric cars boom.

So, 2016 was a great year returning a 25.5%. If you didn’t follow my tips, just imagine having invested US$ 100.000 in the above funds in equal amount, and you would have US$ 125.500 right now. No bad for a lazy investment as ETFs.
However, the past is past. Let’s have a look at what I’m working toward 2007…

TOP PICK ETFS FOR 2017

It’s time to think about your new portfolio with new sectors going to be very HOT!
I’m excited to share with you two sectors in particular which are set to go “explosive” this year after suffering a terrible downtrend for years: Uranium and Silver/Gold.
Let’s start with:

1# Global X Uranium ETF

Best investment in uranium stocks - etfs - 2017
The sector is very small, with Cameco and NexGen Energy making 33% of this ETFs.
Now, the good thing is the Uranium sector as a whole and this ETF just broke out from a very longggggg downtrend. To be exact, from 2011 when Fukushima nuclear disaster happened.
During these 5 years, many uranium miners went belly up. As a result, I expect in the next three years to witness a serious shortage of uranium. Consequently, uranium price will skyrocket.
I’m not the only investor being so bullish on Uranium. Taki from InvestingHeaven.com and NextBigTrade.com are confirming my thoughts. I highly respect the work of these two guys, you should considering follow them.
Facts
Global X Uranium ETF is fairly liquid with an average daily trading volume of 255.000 shares with a total asset of $126 million under management.
The Fund offers a generous dividend yield of 7.13%, but who cares about yield when there is a potential of 500% gains in the next few years.
The ETF has lost 900% in five years which is a great sign that the sector is been oversold -BIG times. This is the reason I’m bullish to invest in this fund for the long-term; GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY.
The annual fees of 0.70% that is the norm for a niche ETFs
Info
The world needs electricity, and with the introduction of electric cars, the demand is going to be exploding. Not only Uranium is the most efficient clean energy, but at the moment Uranium generates 20% of the world electricity.
Action
Time to accumulate and hold till it triple in value before considering rebalancing your portfolio away from this sector.
NOTE; This ETF is highly volatile, not suitable for soft hearted investors.

2# VanEck Vectors Gold Miners ETF (GDX)

Best investment in gold mining stocks - etfs - 2017
After a great start in 2016, this ETF start correcting in July till this month.
The good news is that gold is turning up again and the sector is going for a multi-year bull. I would not be surprised to see gold at 5.000 US$/OZ in 3 years time.
Yes, Pal, that is three times the current 1.200 US$/OZ.
Facts
VanEck Vectors Gold Miners ETF is a very liquid fund with a total asset of $10.5 billion under management.
The fund doesn’t have a yield as mining companies are recovering from a terrible downturn lasting 3 years. I don’t invest for yield, but for making serious gains.
However, it’s possible a short reversal before booming up. So, accumulate without going all in.
The annual fee is only at 0.52%.
Info
The sector is heavily undervalued while exploration for gold is been weak in recent years, causing a possible shortage in the near future.
Action
Time to accumulate and hold till it doubles in value before considering rebalancing your portfolio away from this sector.

3) SPDR S&P Metals and Mining ETF

Best investment in metal and mining stocks - etfs - 2017
I’m still bullish on this ETF even after surging 100% last year. Basic commodities have still a long way of appreciation ahead. Trump “wow” the world to rebuild America, so this ETF is very Trump’s friendly sort of.
Facts
SPDR S&P Metal and Mining ETF is liquid with an average daily trading volume of 2.3 million shares with a total asset of $855 million under management (more than double the size of last year.
The Fund dividend yield is a mere 1%.
The fund’s annual portfolio turnover ratio is high at 38% together with the annual fees of 0.35%.
Info
I expect a rebalancing in commodities prices. China is shutting down uneconomical mines while trying to reduce its stockpiles of metals. Trump want to rebuild America while building a wall with Mexico.
Very positive.
Action
Accumulate and hold.

IS MY INVESTMENT PLAN, RISKY?

 My-investment-plan-for-2017-risky
Definitely less risky than driving in India.
As you notice already, I’m focusing on volatile sectors looking for big gains. In fact, I didn’t mention Vanguard Total World Stock ETF, Vanguard Health Care ETF and IShares MSCI Hong Kong ETF this year.
That doesn’t mean I consider these sectors underperforming in the next 10 years, in contrary I’m bullish. However, these ETFs are defensive while 2017 is RISK ON. Meaning, I expect excitement from investors splashing money in the markets while pushing stock prices higher (at least for the first half).
I manage my risks, considering potential returns VS potential lost. So, I don’t feel I’m risking more than a guy putting money regularly on S&P500, which in my humble opinion is overvalued.
Cheers to whatever the future holds, and to knowing that no matter what 2017 brings, we will be better off from the growth and lessons that occur.
