Six months ago I started this website because I wanted to help others improve their financial life and as well hang out with like minded people.
You know, I like money and I believe that money doesn’t make us happy but they offer more options in life. The more options we have, the more we can live freely.
If money wouldn’t have been important to me, I wouldn’t live a financially free lifestyle but instead, slave away my time for a salary. Do you relate?
Before choosing the design for this website, I did a research around the net and visited hundreds of money/financial blogs and noticed that 90% of them had a similar framework.
So I just follow the trend and move on to write post after posts.
After six months I realized one thing, my website was so BORINGGGGGG that I didn’t feel like to spend more than 10 minutes on it.
What? Really!

Just think about this for a moment. If you feel that your website is boring, what your reader will think about it?
I know that if I can spend only 10 minutes on my own website, others will spend 10 seconds and probably never return.
Did you ever have the same feeling while visiting a new website?
You really wanted to read that article, but because the small fonts, or the depressing colors or poor picture’s quality, you just couldn’t get bothered to continue reading and moved on. It’s a shame, isn’t it?
You spend a lot of time to produce excellent content, but most new visitors will not stick around. How are we supposed to change the world if most people don’t read our tutorials, saving’s tip or how to invest better?
I feel embarrassed to admit that I’ve been superficial with my website, it was all about me. But this is going to change, this new blog will be all about you, my friends.
So, last week, in what felt like my biggest leap yet, I changed my website framework.
The colors are lighter, the text easier to read and you my friend will feel to be in a community, not alone anymore against the demons “MONEY”.
My sincere hope is that in deciding to change my framework… a small part of you will feel encouraged enough to do the same.
I also struggle with the fact that my old website wasn’t written by a human, but more likely an investment robot. To me, the design was some sort of commodity, rather than a human spirit.
Instead, whenever someone visits my website, I want them to feel in a friendly environment and see me like a brother helping with their financial life. Because family is where love is from.
I used to think that only information would be enough for people to take action with their life, but I soon realized it isn’t. People need to be inspired, drive to achieve greatness, and a new framework will help that state of mind.
By redesigning this website with love and giving a new vibe, I hope you my friends will take action with your financial life, self-development and achieve greatness, which you deserve.
So, this design change? It’s about us.
It’s about taking our life in a new direction even if we don’t know where that road will lead us.
It’s about empowering ourself with the knowledge we need to be successful.
And it’s about supporting each other within the community passionate about to be FREE.
Yes, my friend, the real freedom to work only if you want to, the freedom to take your family for an holiday, the freedom to do whatever your heart tell you. Not what your boss or government force you to accept.
The content of SmartMoneyToday.com will be more friendly, and I’ll share the inner crevices of who I am. I find the more I share about myself, the more you are able to connect and learn from me in a deeper way.
I design the site to be easy to navigate, with brighter colors to give joy while learning all the hustle about money and investing.

- All the pictures are vertical and ready to be pinned on Pinterest.
- The sidebar is neat without ads or similar stuff that don’t bring value to you.
- On the bottom of each post, you can sign up to receive my newsletter packed with my blogging business tips and investing advice.
- Colors are bright, fresh that give a sense of freedom (keep in mind is all about financial freedom).
- Bigger and clear fonts so you can read with peace.
